Andrew Barber

Charity Trustee


Andrew is a retired pharmacist having spent the last 27 years working for Galway's main hospital, UHG. His primary degree is Bachelor of Pharmacy and has a post graduate Masters in Management Studies.


His main interests outside of his profession are golf, chess, and listening to most genres of music. If asked a 'Desert Island Discs" type question, he would almost certainly respond Dylan and Tchaikovsky. Although Andrew's own musical skills are fairly limited to not much more than being able to locate middle c on a piano, he nevertheless enjoys going to or watching broadcasts of international, national and local musical events.


Andrew has previously served on a number of professional committees and boards and is eager to continue to uphold the importance of the functions of Trustees in overseeing the work of voluntary and charitable organisations.
